Day 6 - £79.25

That's how much I have in my current account, expenses are on their way next week and actually the fugure doesn't scare me. I've been having low/no spend days, I've been busy with work and just enjoying things like the park rather than being out out. Don't get me wrong though, as soon as that July pay hits, once I have sorted out bills and debt repayments, the enjoyment will continue. There is a lot of fun to be had on a budget and if anyone knows anything about that it's me.

Not everything has to be centred around a drink but I do like a little drink especially when the sun is out and I'm having a good time.

The park is always great for a cheap picnic with a few drinks. Bring home made sandwiches or easy to travel with food, mix your own cocktails and bring an old sheet and enjoy the sun. Maybe bring your speaker, but don't be annoying with the music too loud.

I am a pro at window shopping, because for so long I didn't have the money so I am used to just looking and not buying. Plus there are some pretty shopping centres where it can be a nice day out, get your steps in and catch up with a friend, maybe your only expense will be a little iced coffee whilst you walk around.

One of my faves has to be utilising eventbrite for free events around London, sometimes there's free outdoor events like music festivals, trade events where people are selling things from their businesses, you may not be able to afford anything on the day but take a business card and go back and get whatever you had your eye on.

Lastly, for me it is always just spending time with friends and family. Had a long day at work and my friend lives close to my office, went to hers after work, laid out in the front garden, couple of drinks, lots of gossip and laughs, it was a great evening. Even when the suns not out, just going round to a friend or family's place or having someone round and just catching up, if you have people around you that want to spend time with you, always utilise, enjoy and appreciate that.

I know between now and payday my only big costs should be this work dinner (even though I don't want to go), which will be paid back to me eventually. So I am not stressed and enjoying just taking each day as it comes. Also luckily for me I can cook, so there is never a worry about spending money on takeaways, I do love a little takeaway but when I am trying to cut back, I can always stretch meals. I might write about some of my meal hacks to save money. Everyone enjoy your weekend x
